Of course. Who wouldn't want some fun?

About me

My alter egos include a runner, a (rather bad) drummer, a swing dancer and an occasional photographer.

An Asteroid

Have you ever seen an asteroid?

Now you have! This was taken at the observatory of New Mexico Tech during my participation in Summer Science Program. (In fact, I'm not even sure which dimmer white dot is the asteroid. It was supposed to be an animated GIF made from four observations during the summer, but the original file was lost with an old USB driver.)

IYPT Related

International Young Physicists Tournament, or IYPT, is a team oriented competition in which participants "fight" with each other by debating their investigations about 17 given open-ended problems. Feel free to head to their website and take a look at each year's problems.

Due to the format of the competition, not all problems will be discussed. As a result, lots of results are never seen by anyone other than my teammates. We did reproduce many fascinating phenomena with equipment built by ourselves. I'm recently reviewing some of the physics that once appeared to be too hard to grasp, and I feel an urge of sharing. All are photographed by myself and my friend Cheng Chi.

Lattice of bubbles

Bubbles can form a lattice. See if you can spot any interesting defect.

Frozen droplet with a tip

A droplet slowly freezing from the bottom will have a pointy tip!

More to come!
