About me

I am a physics graduate student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. My main interest is statistical physics of systems far out of equilibrium, particularly when they admit field-theoretic description. I work with Professor Nigel Goldenfeld on the problem of fully developed hydrodynamic turbulence. Despite the fact that the governing equations were formulated in the 18-th century, fluid motion still poses many formidable challenges to scientists ranging from pure mathematicians to fluid dynamics engineers. Somewhere on this science spectrum is a mathematical physicist hoping to provide useful insight into the intricate dance of eddies in the swirling motion of viscous incompressible fluids.
